Tiny arcade for retro fans

The DGUNL-4119 All-Star Arena Pico Player is a pocket-sized cabinet that fits in a palm. It targets collectors and casual players who want instant access to classic Jaleco sports titles without a console or cartridge slot.

Seven licensed games plus 100 extras

The bundle adds seven officially licensed Jaleco releases — GOAL!?, four BASES LOADED? entries, RACKET ATTACK? and HOOPS? — plus 100 bonus retro-style games. A built-in speaker with volume control and a 2" full-colour screen turn the package into a self-contained play station.

Battery power, no tools required

Three AAA cells (not supplied) slide into the rear compartment; the user guide in English, French and Spanish walks through the steps. The only common snag is forgetting to buy batteries before the first session.

Questions about this item

Will the 3 AAA batteries need frequent replacement during daily play?

The unit runs on 3 AAA batteries which are not included; battery life will vary with volume level and play time, so keeping a spare set handy is practical for extended sessions.

How long can the 2 inch colour screen stay on before the picture dims or the unit overheats?

The 2 inch full colour display is powered directly by the 3 AAA cells; there is no active cooling, so prolonged continuous use will gradually drain the batteries and reduce brightness rather than cause overheating.

Does the built-in speaker get loud or hot when the Pico Player runs all day?

The internal speaker has a volume control and draws power from the same 3 AAA batteries; at moderate volume it stays cool, while maximum volume will drain the batteries faster without generating noticeable heat.
