Auto-set clock with USB charging

The DreamSky DS313 is a digital alarm clock with a 5 inch orange LCD display. It automatically sets the time, date and temperature once plugged in and the time zone is selected. A built-in button cell battery retains settings during power interruptions. Two USB ports are provided, one to power the clock and another to charge a phone.

Powered by USB adapter with battery backup

The clock requires a 5V 2.1A USB adapter connected to a 110-240V outlet for primary operation. The included adapter cord is 1.5 meters long. Three AAA batteries (not included) serve as backup to keep the time running during a power cut. Brightness adjustment is only available while the clock is plugged into the wall outlet.

Six brightness levels plus auto dimmer

The display offers six manual brightness steps at 100, 70, 50, 30, 10 and 5 percent, plus an automatic dimming mode. When running on backup batteries alone the brightness cannot be changed and the screen lights for only five seconds after a button press to save power. The ascending alarm with snooze repeats every eight minutes.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the orange model or another colour?

This model is only offered in orange, so there is no alternative colour to choose from.

What does the 5 inch display size mean for everyday use?

The 5 inch LCD shows time, date and temperature with six brightness levels plus an auto dimmer so you can read it across the room or dim it to 5 % for a dark bedroom.

How does the USB power and charging setup work in practice?

A 5 V 2.1 A adapter with a 1.5 m cord powers the clock from 110 V to 240 V mains; one USB port runs the clock and the second port charges a phone or other device.
