One-inch high-speed steel drill bit with a 1/2-inch reduced shank and three-flat grip for secure chucking
The Drill America KFD (Killer Force) drill bit uses high-speed steel construction for demanding applications. It features a 1-inch cutting diameter with a reduced 1/2-inch shank to fit standard chucks. The heavy-duty split point design improves penetration and reduces walking on hard surfaces.
The reduced 1/2-inch shank allows use in common drill chucks but limits maximum torque transmission compared to larger shank sizes. The 3-flat shank design prevents slipping in keyless chucks under high load. Overall length of 6 inches and flute length of 3 inches define the maximum reach and chip clearance for deep holes.

The 1.0000 inch bit requires a half-inch chuck; pick a smaller diameter if your chuck capacity is lower.
It cuts a one-inch hole; the three-flat shank prevents slipping in the chuck and the split point starts on contact.
