Drill America #40 Cobalt Aircraft Extension Drill Bit 12in

Drill America #40 Cobalt Extension Bit

The Drill America #40 cobalt aircraft extension drill bit measures 12 inches overall with a 1-3/8 inch flute length. Its heavy-duty split point design reduces walking and starts holes cleanly in tough materials. Cobalt steel construction provides high heat resistance and extended tool life for demanding drilling tasks. This bit suits precision work requiring long reach and durability.

Ideal for deep-hole drilling in hard metals

Aircraft maintenance technicians and metal fabricators benefit from the extended length and cobalt hardness when drilling deep, accurate holes in stainless steel or titanium. The #40 wire gauge size matches specific fastener clearance requirements. Buyers needing larger diameters or shorter jobber-length bits should consider other options. Users without a 12-inch chuck capacity cannot use this bit effectively.
