The Drill America ANC5-530-163 is an nACo Nano-Composite coated blue annular cutter designed for magnetic drill presses. It targets fabricators and maintenance technicians who need fast, efficient hole making in steel, cast iron, heated steel and stainless steel. The 3/4 inch Weldon shank fits most magnetic drill presses, also called mag drills. This tool is not for operators who need a cutter compatible with standard hand drills or conventional drill presses.

nACo coating and pilot pin

The nACo Nano-Composite coating increases tool life up to 30 percent compared to traditional high-speed steel annular cutters. It provides extra protection against tool wear and high heat when cutting difficult materials. The M2 high speed steel construction cuts only the necessary material for quality hole making. A pilot pin is included in the package to ensure proper alignment and slug ejection during operation.

Magnetic press installation only

Installation requires a magnetic drill press with a 3/4 inch Weldon shank receiver; the cutter must not be used with a standard hand drill or drill press. The pilot pin inserts through the cutter centre to align the cut and eject the slug. Common issues arise when the tool is forced into an incompatible chuck or when the pilot pin is omitted, causing misalignment and premature wear.
