1/2" nACo Annular Cutter for Mag Drills

This 1/2-inch annular cutter carries a blue nACo nano-composite coating that extends tool life up to 30 percent over traditional high-speed steel cutters. It cuts steel, cast iron, heated steel and stainless steel efficiently by removing only the necessary material. The 3/4-inch Weldon shank fits most magnetic drill presses, also known as mag drills. A pilot pin is included in the package.

Installation and Common Mistakes

Insert the Weldon shank fully into the magnetic drill press chuck and secure the set screws before starting the cut. The cutter is designed exclusively for magnetic drill presses; using it in a standard hand drill or conventional drill press will cause poor performance and rapid wear. Ensure the pilot pin is seated correctly so the slug ejects cleanly after each hole. Misalignment or insufficient coolant are the main reasons for premature dulling.
