This annular cutter is built for fabricators who use magnetic drill presses to produce clean holes in steel, cast iron, heated steel and stainless steel. The 3/4-inch Weldon shank fits most mag-drill machines, so the tool is ready for shop or field work without an adapter.

What the coating changes

The nACo nano-composite blue coating extends cutter life by up to 30 percent compared with uncoated high-speed steel, reducing the frequency of tool changes. It also adds a heat-resistant barrier that helps the cutting edges stay sharp when drilling difficult alloys at higher speeds.

Shank and machine limits

The 3/4-inch Weldon shank only fits magnetic drill presses; the cutter must not be used in a standard hand drill or conventional drill press. A pilot pin is included to align the cut, but the tool has no provision for coolant delivery beyond what the mag-drill supplies.
