Annular cutter for magnetic drills

The Drill America DWC5-530-175 is a high-speed steel annular cutter sized at 1-7/8" with a 1" depth of cut and a 3/4" Weldon shank. It is designed for magnetic drill presses only and will not work in a standard hand drill or conventional drill press. A pilot pin is included to align the cut and eject the slug.

Heat, noise and power draw

Cutting only the perimeter of the hole reduces the material removed, which lowers cutting force and heat buildup compared with a solid twist drill of the same diameter. The high-speed steel body provides a balance of hardness and toughness for wear resistance during general-purpose use.
