This 2-pack of USB 3.2 Type-C male-to-female cables extends connections by six feet each. They support 10Gbps data transfer, 4K@60Hz video output and up to 100W power delivery. The grey braided cables feature 24-pin connectors and aluminium alloy shells for durability.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Suits users extending USB-C links for monitors, laptops, tablets, phones, docks or hubs where 10Gbps speed, 4K video and 100W charging are required. Not for buyers needing Thunderbolt 3 dock or hub compatibility, as the cable does not work with those devices.

Deciding specification: 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen2

The single spec that decides fit is the 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen2 data rate. If the host, device and application require this bandwidth for 4K@60Hz video or fast file transfers, the cable meets it; if Thunderbolt speeds or protocols are needed, this is not the right part.

Questions about this item

What USB-C port speed does my device need to get the 10 Gbps transfer rate this cable supports?

The host and peripheral must both have USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports; if either side is USB 3.1 Gen 1 or USB 2.0 the link will fall back to that lower speed.

Will this male-to-female extender work with my existing Thunderbolt 3 dock?

No. The manufacturer notes that this cable does not work with any Thunderbolt 3 docking station, hub or cable.

How can I verify the cable is delivering 100 W charging after I plug it in?

Check the power meter or OS battery UI on the receiving device; it should show up to 100 W (20 V / 5 A) when the charger, cable and device all support 100 W fast charging.
