Standalone SATA duplicator tower with six drive bays

DupliM Inc

DupliM Inc 1:5 SATA Duplicator 5 Targets 6 Sanitize 120MB/s 768MB Buffer

SKU CH-E735-0H2KD

Standalone SATA duplicator clones five drives at once up to 120 MB/s and sanitises six with DoD 5220/22-M wipe

  • Operating modeStandalone
  • Creates five simultaneous clones at 120 MB/s
  • Sanitizes six drives with DoD 5220/22-M seven-pass wipe
  • Standalone operation requires no host computer
  • 768 MB buffer sustains high-speed transfers
  • Supports 3.5″ SATA drives and 2.5″ with adapters

Industrial standalone duplicator

The DupliM 1:5 tower creates five simultaneous SATA drive clones without a host computer. IT departments and data centres use it for mass deployment or forensic imaging where network bandwidth is unavailable.

120 MB/s transfer ceiling

Sector-by-sector copying runs at up to 120 MB/s across all five targets, so total throughput scales with the slowest drive. A 768 MB buffer absorbs burst variance and keeps the pipeline full during sustained writes.

Eight-terabyte-plus headroom

Drives larger than 8 TB are supported, letting the unit handle current high-capacity SATA HDDs and SSDs. Sanitization covers six drives at once with one-pass, three-pass verify or DoD 5220/22-M seven-pass overwrite, but 2.5-inch drives need separate adapters not supplied.

Questions about this item

What does the 120 MB/s transfer rate mean when the duplicator is running five targets at once?

The 120 MB/s figure is the maximum SATA bus speed; each of the five target drives can receive data at up to that rate simultaneously because the unit has a 768 MB buffer to sustain parallel streams.

Which SATA standard does the duplicator use and what practical limit does it impose?

It uses the SATA interface capped at 120 MB/s, so no single drive can exceed that throughput regardless of the drive's own rated speed.

What drive sizes fit the duplicator and are adapters included?

The bays accept 3.5" SATA drives directly; 2.5" SATA drives require optional adapters (part number 450100) which are not included.
