8-Cell Charger & 16 AAA Batteries

The Powerex MH-C801D charger handles AA and AAA cells at a 2000mA charge rate. It ships with 16 AAA Duracell NiMH batteries rated at 900 mAh each. The set suits households or offices that cycle through many AAA devices and want a single charger for both common sizes.

Before ordering check your devices

Verify that your equipment accepts 1.2 Volt NiMH cells instead of 1.5 Volt alkaline types. The charger operates on 100-240VAC at 50 or 60 Hz, so confirm your mains supply falls in that range. Ensure you have a free mains socket for the external power supply that delivers 18V at 2000mA or 20V at 100mA.

Thermals noise and power draw

The external supply draws up to 1200mA from the wall while charging at the 2 Amp rate. The charger and batteries stay within normal temperature limits for NiMH chemistry during typical charge cycles. No cooling fan is fitted, so operation is silent. Each cell can be recharged up to 400 times before capacity drops noticeably.
