What the 12V alkaline cell powers

This Duracell MN21 two-pack supplies 12 volts DC from a 60 mAh alkaline chemistry. The button-terminal cylinder measures 0.39 in diameter by 1.08 in height. It is sold new and suited to devices that call for a size 21/23 cell such as remote controls and similar low-drain electronics.

The specification that confirms fit

The critical figure is the 12 V nominal voltage combined with the 21/23 form factor; only equipment designed for that exact voltage and physical size will operate correctly. The ANSI-standard cross-references A23BPZ and A23BPZ-2 verify mechanical and electrical interchangeability.

Behaviour under continuous drain

Rated capacity is measured at a low, steady current; sustained loads will deliver less usable energy than the 60 mAh label suggests. The cell functions between 14 °F and 140 °F, but prolonged high-current draw inside that range accelerates voltage sag and reduces effective run time.

Questions about this item

What does the 12 V rating deliver in a remote control?

It supplies the steady 12 V DC that the remote's circuit expects, with 60 mAh capacity to last through typical button-press duty cycles.

Which standard governs the button-terminal interface on this cell?

The cell follows ANSI dimensions for the 21/23 size, so the button terminals match any device built to that standard.

Will the 0.39 in diameter and 1.08 in height fit my device's battery tray?

The cell measures 0.39 in across and 1.08 in tall, matching the 21/23 form factor used in many remote controls and small electronics.
