Duratech 9" Magnetic Torpedo Level White

The Duratech 9" Magnetic Torpedo Level is a compact hand tool designed for checking horizontal, vertical and 45-degree alignment. Its 9-inch length and lightweight 0.08 kilogram body make it practical for both professional tradespeople and DIY users working in confined spaces.

Top-view vials and magnetic base

Green acrylic vials with top-view windows give a clear, intuitive reading from above without needing to crouch. A strong magnetic edge clamps securely to ferrous surfaces, allowing hands-free operation on steel framing, pipework or trailer components.

Suits tight-space alignment tasks

Ideal for installers, decorators and trailer owners who need quick level checks in restricted areas. Not suited for buyers who require longer reference lengths, digital readouts or precision machining tolerances beyond standard bubble indication.

Questions about this item

Will the green acrylic vials need replacing if the liquid evaporates over time?

The vials are sealed acrylic units; they do not require refilling and are not user-serviceable.

What stops the magnetic edge from holding the level on thick steel beams during a full day of layout work?

The magnetic bar runs the full 9-inch length and is rated for hands-free attachment to ferrous surfaces.

Does the aluminium frame feel hot or cold to the touch after being left in direct sun on a job site?

The 0.1-inch thick aluminium body reaches ambient temperature quickly and has no internal heat source.
