What this multimeter does

The DURFICST T5 is a 6000-count True RMS digital multimeter with a 3.8-inch LCD. It measures AC and DC voltage up to 600V, AC and DC current up to 10A, resistance to 60M, capacitance to 100mF, frequency to 2000Hz, and temperature from -20 to 530 Celsius. Auto-ranging handles voltage, current, resistance, frequency and continuity, while diode, capacitance and temperature ranges are selected manually. The meter meets IEC 61010 for 600V CAT II and pollution degree 2.

What to verify before ordering

Confirm the circuits you will test stay within 600V CAT II limits and that the 10A current terminals suit your expected load. The unit ships without the two 1.5V AAA batteries it requires, so have those ready. Leads and a K-type thermocouple are included in the zipper pouch. Operating temperature is rated 0 to 40 Celsius at altitudes below 2000 metres.

Thermals noise and power draw

The multimeter draws power only from the two AAA cells; there is no mains input or fan, so it runs silently and adds no heat to the test environment. Auto power-off activates after ten minutes of inactivity, the backlight extinguishes after thirty seconds, and the dual flashlights also time out at thirty seconds. The ABS housing stays at ambient temperature during normal use.
