DUSLAN 12V NiMH Battery Pack 4500 mAh

SKU CH-00WQ-KC5E9

A 12 V NiMH battery pack delivering 4500 mAh with a 3.5 ft two-pin connector, built-in Polyswitch current limit at 4.2 A, thermostat charge protection.

  • Battery typeBattery Pack
  • 12 V NiMH chemistry delivers reliable power for heated clothing and camcorders
  • 4500 mAh capacity supports extended runtime on compatible 10–12 V DC laptops
  • 8 A charge rate with 65 °C thermostat protects against overcharging
  • 2 A discharge limit via 42 °C Polyswitch prevents excessive current draw
  • Eight detachable connectors plus extra lead wire fit most laptop and DC device ports

Purpose and Capacity

The DUSLAN 12 V NiMH pack stores 4 500 mAh (54 Wh) in ten 4/3 A cells arranged in a single row. It targets users who need a portable 12 V DC source for heated clothing, camcorders, flash units or compatible laptops such as older ThinkPad, Toshiba, Sony, NEC or Compaq models. The bundled 18 AWG lead and eight detachable tips cover tip sizes of 1.5 mm, 1.75 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 3.4 mm and 4.3 mm.

Suitability and Limits

Buyers who want a hot-swappable internal laptop battery or a pack with a proprietary locking connector should look elsewhere. Devices that draw more than 4.2 A continuous current will trip the internal Polyswitch, so high-drain tools or multi-bay lighting rigs are not supported. The 7.2" × 2.9" × .8" footprint also rules out compartments built for slimmer or curved packs.

Deciding Specification

The 4.2 A discharge ceiling set by the 42 °C Polyswitch is the single figure that decides fit; if your load stays at or below that level the pack will deliver its rated 54 Wh, otherwise it will cut out.
