3.2V 14430 LiFePO4 pack

This pack contains eight 14430 lithium iron phosphate cells rated at 3.2 volts and 400 milliampere-hours each. They are built for devices that need a stable 3.2 volt supply in the smaller 4/5 AA form factor. The chemistry delivers up to 2000 charge cycles with no memory effect and a long storage life. Buyers who need a higher voltage per cell or a standard AA length will not be served by this size.

Capacity and discharge headroom

Each cell stores 400 mAh and can supply a maximum discharge current of 0.8 amps for short bursts. Continuous loads at or below 0.4 amps are well within the comfort zone and the 75.29 watt-hours per kilogram energy density keeps weight low at 17 grams per cell. Applications that regularly draw more than 0.8 amps or require capacities above 600 mAh will exhaust these cells quickly.

Replaces legacy 14430 sizes

The 400 mAh rating directly replaces older 14430 cells marked 250, 300, 350 or 500 mAh, and the supplier notes compatibility with any 14430 labelled between 200 and 600 mAh. The jump is worth it when the original pack has degraded after fewer cycles or when the lighter 17 gram mass and higher cycle count reduce replacement frequency. Devices that demand a larger physical cell such as full AA or that need a different chemistry cannot use this pack.
