Eight-bay charger with bundled AA cells

This package combines an eight-bay LCD charger with eight AA NiMH cells rated at 2600 mAh each. The charger accepts one to eight AA or AAA NiMH or NiCD batteries and operates from a 100 to 240 volt universal AC adaptor. It is suited for households or workplaces that regularly cycle many cells at once.

Per-slot LCD status and discharge refresh

Each of the eight channels has its own LCD indicator showing charge progress, while an intelligent microprocessor manages negative delta-V cut-off, reverse-polarity protection and a safety timer. A discharge function refreshes cells at 200 to 300 mA before charging, and the firmware flags defective cells so they are not charged.

Charge-rate limits and chemistry constraints

AA cells charge at 500 mA and AAA at 250 mA, so a 2600 mAh AA pack needs roughly four to six hours while 800 to 1200 mAh AAA cells take three to five hours. The charger only supports NiMH or NiCD chemistries and cannot charge lithium-ion or other battery types.

Questions about this item

How many charge cycles can the included AccuLoop-X AA batteries deliver before they need replacing?

The AccuLoop-X AA cells are rated for up to 1000 recharge cycles before replacement is needed.

What charge current limits how fast the eight bays can replenish cells during extended sessions?

Each AA bay supplies 500 mA and each AAA bay 250 mA, so sustained charging speed is capped at those currents.

How much power does the charger draw from the mains when all eight bays run continuously?

The universal AC adaptor accepts 100 to 240 V input at 1 A, so maximum draw is 12 W.
