Charger with eight AA cells

The BC-0903 is a standard battery charger bundled with eight Sunbeam AA NiMH cells rated at 2700 mAh. It suits households or small offices that need a ready-to-use set of rechargeable AA batteries for everyday devices. The package includes both a car cord and a USB cord so the charger can run from a vehicle socket or a computer port. Everything arrives new and ready for immediate use.

2700 mAh NiMH capacity

The included AA batteries each store 2700 mAh at 1.2 V and use nickel-metal-hydride chemistry with no memory effect. They can be recharged up to 1000 cycles and are direct replacements for any product that takes standard AA cells. The charger accepts two or four AA or AAA batteries at once and handles both NiMH and NiCd chemistries. Negative delta V cut-off stops the charge automatically when cells are full.

Sustained charging behaviour

Under continuous operation the charger delivers 12 V at 900 mA for AA cells and 500 mA for AAA cells, with a safety timer that prevents overcharge during long sessions. Trickle current keeps batteries topped up while they remain seated, and the microprocessor monitors for defective or non-rechargeable cells. Reverse-polarity, over-current and short-circuit protections stay active throughout extended charging periods. Red and green LEDs show real-time status without interruption.

Questions about this item

What does the 2700 mAh capacity on the included AA batteries mean for actual run-time?

Each AA cell stores 2700 mAh at 1.2 V, so a device drawing 270 mA would run for about ten hours per charge.

How does the 120 V–240 V input with the supplied USB cord limit charging speed?

The USB cord draws from a 5 V USB port, so the charger operates at its 500 mA AAA or 900 mA AA output rates rather than the faster AC rates.

What physical space is needed to fit the charger and the eight AA cells?

The unit accepts two or four AA or AAA cells at once; eight AA batteries require two separate charging cycles.
