Smart charger with four 2700 mAh AA cells

The ULINOV3 charges two or four AA and AAA NiMH or NiCd cells using negative delta-V cut-off and a safety timer. It runs from 120 V 60 Hz mains, a car cord or a USB cord, and can supply power to small devices without being plugged in.

Capacity and headroom

Included AA batteries deliver 2700 mAh at 1.2 V and recharge in four to five hours; AAA cells of 700 to 1200 mAh finish in one and a half to three hours. The charger handles 2100 to 2900 mAh AA packs but will not charge larger formats such as C, D or 9 V cells.

Build and daily use

Red LEDs flash during charging and glow solid when cells are ready, while reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection guard against insertion errors. Car and USB cables let you top up batteries while driving or at a desk, and the unit doubles as a portable power source for compatible gadgets.
