Smart charger with 4 AA NiMH cells

The DUSLAN ULINOV3 package combines a microprocessor-controlled charger with four 1500 mAh AA nickel-metal hydride cells. It charges two or four AA or AAA batteries at once and supports both NiMH and NiCd chemistries. The unit operates from 120 V 60 Hz mains and delivers 6 V 500 mA output. A car cord and a USB cord are included for mobile charging.

Check your mains voltage and battery needs

The charger requires a 120 V 60 Hz supply, so confirm your local mains match this specification before ordering. It handles AA cells rated 2100 to 2900 mAh in four to five hours and AAA cells rated 700 to 1200 mAh in 1.5 to three hours. Only NiMH or NiCd types are supported; other chemistries will not charge safely.

Safety protections and versatile power options

Negative delta-V cut-off, a safety timer, short-circuit protection and reverse-polarity guards prevent overcharge and damage. LEDs show flashing red while charging and solid red when ready. The charger can also serve as a portable power source for compatible devices without being plugged in. The included AA cells deliver 1.2 V, offer up to 1000 recharge cycles and have no memory effect.

Should I choose the 1500 mAh AA cells or a different capacity for this charger?

The included 1500 mAh AA cells are optimised for the charger's 500 mA output. The unit also accepts AAA cells of 700–1200 mAh and AA cells up to 2900 mAh, but charge times will vary.

How long will the 1500 mAh AA batteries take to charge fully in the ULINOV3?

The charger delivers 500 mA, so the supplied 1500 mAh AA cells reach full charge in roughly four to five hours, indicated by the red LED changing from flashing to solid.
