Smart charger and AAA cells

This kit pairs an intelligent microprocessor-controlled charger with eight 900 mAh AAA NiMH cells. The unit charges two or four AA or AAA batteries at once and supports both NiMH and NiCd chemistries. Negative delta-V cut-off, a safety timer, short-circuit protection and reverse-polarity guards stop overcharge automatically. Red LEDs flash while charging and glow solid when cells are ready.

Check power source and cell count

The charger runs from 120 V 60 Hz mains and also includes a car cord and a USB cord for mobile charging. It delivers 6 V at 500 mA output and handles two or four cells per session. Verify you have access to a suitable mains outlet, 12 V vehicle socket or powered USB port. Only NiMH or NiCd cells in AA or AAA sizes should be inserted.

Thermals noise and power draw

During a typical charge cycle the charger draws modest power from the mains or vehicle supply and runs silently with no moving parts. Cells warm slightly as they accept current, reaching full capacity in 1.5 to 3 hours for the supplied AAA range. The safety timer and delta-V detection prevent excessive heat build-up. No audible fan or pump noise is produced in normal use.
