Eight-bay charger with sixteen AAA cells

The DUSLAN V868 charges two, four, six or eight AA or AAA NiMH and NiCd batteries at once. It accepts pairs of cells and selects the correct current automatically for each size. A built-in IC timer stops fast charging after twelve hours and switches to trickle charge. LED indicators show the charging status for every bay.

Sustained charging behaviour

Fast charging runs at 200 mA for AA and 80 mA for AAA until the timer expires. The unit then holds a low trickle current to keep cells topped up without overcharging. This pattern suits overnight or daytime cycles where batteries remain in the charger for many hours. The timer prevents heat build-up during long unattended sessions.

AC input and chemistry limits

The charger draws 9 W from a 120 V, 60 Hz mains supply and delivers 2.8 V DC to the cells. It only supports nickel-metal-hydride or nickel-cadmium chemistries at 1.2 V nominal voltage. Alkaline, lithium-ion or other battery types cannot be charged safely. The sixteen included AAA cells are rated at 900 mAh and up to one thousand recharge cycles.

Questions about this item

Does the V868 charger get hot or draw much power when it runs all day?

The unit draws 9 W from a 120 V 60 Hz supply and uses a built-in 12-hour timer that switches to trickle charge, limiting sustained heat.

What must I already own for the V868 to work?

A 120 V AC mains outlet is required; the charger plugs directly into it and accepts two, four, six or eight AA or AAA Ni-MH or Ni-Cd cells at a time.

Will the included 900 mAh AAA cells work in devices I currently power with alkaline AA batteries?

The cells deliver 1.2 V and fit AAA compartments only; they cannot replace AA batteries, but they suit any device designed for AAA NiMH rechargeables.
