DUSLAN V868 8-bay AA/AAA charger with 8 AA 1000 mAh NiCd batteries

8-bay AA/AAA charger with 8 included NiCd cells

The DUSLAN V868 charges two to eight AA or AAA nickel-cadmium or nickel-metal-hydride cells simultaneously in paired slots. It operates from a 120V AC 60 Hz supply drawing 9 W and delivers 2.8 V DC at 200 mA for AA and 80 mA for AAA. An internal IC timer stops the fast-charge phase after 12 hours and switches automatically to trickle charge, while LEDs show the charging status for each pair.

Replaces disposable alkalines for high-drain devices

Each bundled AA cell provides 1.2 V and 1000 mAh capacity, rated for up to 500 recharge cycles. The jump from single-use alkalines is worth it when a device drains batteries quickly — such as toys, flashlights or wireless peripherals — because the cost per cycle falls far below the price of replacement primaries. The charger accepts mixed NiCd and NiMH chemistries, so existing rechargeable cells can be cycled alongside the supplied pack.

Steady trickle after timed fast charge

Under sustained use the unit runs a fixed 12-hour fast-charge window then holds cells at a low maintenance current, preventing overcharge during overnight or unattended sessions. The paired-slot design means every active bay receives the same current profile, so a full complement of eight AA cells charges at 200 mA each without current taper. The compact 18 cm by 7.5 cm by 5 cm enclosure stays cool enough for continuous bench-top operation.
