8-bay AA/AAA charger

The DUSLAN V868 charges two, four, six or eight AA or AAA Ni-MH and Ni-Cd cells simultaneously in pairs. It operates from a 120 V AC 60 Hz supply and includes eight AA NiMH batteries rated at 800 mAh and 1.2 V. The unit measures 18 cm by 7.5 cm by 5 cm and carries CE and UL approvals.

Sustained charging behaviour

A built-in IC timer controls the charge cycle for up to 12 hours before automatically switching to trickle charge. Automatic current selection delivers 200 mA for AA cells and 80 mA for AAA cells at 2.8 V DC. LED lamps show charging status throughout the cycle.

Thermals, noise and power draw

The charger draws 9 W from the mains and runs silently with no moving parts. Its compact enclosure stays cool during normal operation. Unplug the unit before inserting a fresh batch of batteries so the timer circuit resets and each cell receives a full charge.

Questions about this item

Does the charger run warm or make noise when left plugged in all day?

The V868 draws 9 W from a 120 V 60 Hz supply and uses an IC timer that stops fast charge after 12 hours, switching to a low trickle current that keeps heat and noise minimal.

What power source must I already have to use this charger?

You need a standard 120 V AC 60 Hz wall outlet; the charger plugs directly into mains power with no external adapter required.

Will the included 800 mAh AA cells work in older devices that originally took 300–700 mAh batteries?

Yes, the 1.2 V NiMH AA cells replace 300, 400, 450, 500, 600 and 700 mAh packs and are compatible with any product that uses AA batteries.
