Stabilisation for Daily Living

The Dycem 74028 non-slip mat is a 7.5 inch diameter blue pad designed to keep objects steady on tables, trays or worktops. It grips on both sides without using adhesive, making it suitable for people who need extra stability during meals, food preparation or other everyday tasks. The latex-free material is non-toxic and includes antimicrobial protection for hygienic use in homes or care settings.

Cleaning and Material Behaviour

The mat is 0.25 inches thick and can be washed in warm soapy water whenever it becomes dirty or dusty, then left to dry for reuse. Its latex-free construction avoids common allergens and the antimicrobial layer helps maintain a cleaner surface between washes. No sticky residue is left on surfaces, so the pad can be moved and repositioned freely without degrading its grip.

Grip Performance at Angles

In use the mat holds items securely on slopes of up to 45 degrees, preventing bowls, chopping boards or appliances from sliding during mixing or cutting. The double-sided grip works on a variety of hard surfaces without permanent attachment, giving consistent stabilisation for as long as the pad remains clean. It is supplied as a single piece for immediate use.

Questions about this item

How do I place the 7.5" blue mat so it grips both the counter and the bowl without sliding?

Lay the mat flat on a clean, dry surface with either side down — it grips on both faces — then set the bowl or board on top; dust or oil on either surface is what causes slip.

What cleaning keeps the antimicrobial, latex-free pad working after daily kitchen use?

Wash in warm soapy water, rinse, and air-dry; the grip returns once the surface is dry and free of dust.

At what angle will a mixing bowl start to slide off the 7.5" diameter pad during sustained mixing?

Independent testing shows objects hold up to a 45 degree incline before gravity overcomes the dual-sided grip.
