DYMO LabelWriter 4XL for shipping labels

This DYMO LabelWriter 4XL prints 10 x 15 cm labels at up to 53 labels per minute. It uses direct thermal technology at 300 dpi resolution, so no ink or toner cartridges are required. The printer connects via USB and suits offices or commercial environments that need high-volume shipping or barcode labels.

USB interface limits cable length and host options

The printer relies on a wired USB connection, which restricts placement to standard cable distances from the host computer. Network or wireless printing is not supported by this model, so the unit must remain physically tethered to a single workstation. Print speed of 3.2 inches per second applies only when the host can feed data continuously over that link.

Check OS version and label roll compatibility

Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and Mac OS X 10.5 or later on Intel hardware are the supported platforms listed by the supplier. Verify that your current operating system matches one of these versions. Also confirm that the label rolls you intend to use are among the dozens of existing DYMO LabelWriter styles and sizes this printer accepts.
