DynamicLamps DT00431 Replacement Lamp for Hitachi Projectors

Direct Replacement for Hitachi Projectors

The DynamicLamps DT00431 replacement lamp restores brightness to compatible Hitachi and 3M projectors. It uses an original bulb inside the module to match the factory light output. Supported Hitachi models include the CP-S370, CP-S370W, CP-S380W, CP-S385W, CP-X380 and CP-X385. The 3M models MP8649, MP8748 and MP8749 are also covered.

Practical Limits of the Lamp Module

Projector lamps dim gradually with use and must be replaced when the image becomes too dark or the projector warns of end-of-life. The module is rated for the same service interval as the original lamp supplied with the projector. Environmental factors such as dust, high ambient temperature or frequent power cycles can shorten the usable period. The part number 78-6969-9464-5 identifies the same assembly.

Simple Installation with Common Pitfalls

Installation requires opening the projector lamp door, removing the old module and sliding the new one into place until it seats firmly. The most common issue is forgetting to reset the lamp-hour counter in the projector menu after fitting the new module. Another frequent problem is leaving the lamp door slightly ajar, which prevents the projector from powering on. Handle the module by the housing to avoid contaminating the bulb surface.
