What the JS-01 is and who it suits

The Dyzeryk JS-01 is a portable music player with 16 GB of storage on an included microSD card and a 1.8 inch LCD screen. It plays MP3, WMA, FLAC, WAV and other audio formats plus AMV video and JPEG images. The built-in speaker and FM radio let you listen without headphones. It suits walkers, commuters and students who want a dedicated device separate from a phone.

Sustained use behaviour

A full charge takes two to three hours and powers up to ten hours of continuous music playback. The lithium-ion cell recharges from any USB port on a computer or wall adapter. The player weighs 25 g and measures 3.5 by 1.5 by 0.3 inches, so it stays comfortable in a pocket during long sessions. File transfers use the same USB connection and support FAT16 or FAT32 volumes up to 128 GB.

The spec that decides fit

Maximum expandable storage is 128 GB via microSD, MMC or SDHC cards. If your library exceeds that limit you will need a different device. The 1.8 inch display and TXT-only e-book support also mean it is not suited for reading long documents or watching widescreen video.

Questions about this item

How loud does the built-in speaker get and does the player heat up after 10 hours of continuous playback?

The built-in speaker provides clear audio for personal listening; the device stays cool during the rated 10-hour battery life thanks to its low-power design.

What headphones or cables must I already own to use the JS-01 out of the box?

Nothing extra is needed — the box includes earphones and a USB cable for charging and file transfer.

Can I keep using my old micro SD cards with this player?

Yes, it accepts micro SD, MMC and SDHC cards up to 128 GB, so existing cards within that limit will work.
