EF-Mount Conversion Kit for DZOFILM Lenses
This 5-pack tool kit lets owners of DZOFILM Vespid, Catta Ace and Gnosis lenses convert each lens to an EF bayonet mount. It is aimed at cinematographers and rental houses that need to standardise a fleet of lenses on Canon EF camera bodies without sending every unit to a service centre.
Five Complete Mount Sets with Shims and Driver
Each of the five identical sets supplies an EF bayonet, a protective port cap, a full shim set for flange-depth adjustment and a dedicated screwdriver. The shims allow precise back-focus tuning so critical focus holds across the iris range, while the caps keep the new mount clean during storage or transport.
User-Installable with Basic Mechanical Skill
Installation requires only the supplied screwdriver: remove the original mount, select the correct shim thickness, fit the EF bayonet and torque the screws evenly. The most common issue is choosing an incorrect shim thickness, which shifts the flange focal distance and softens infinity focus; re-shimming corrects it. Technicians unfamiliar with flange-depth measurement should consult a lens technician.

Questions about this item
Will the shims in this kit need to be replaced after repeated lens swaps?
The shim sets are metal spacers used for one-time flange-depth calibration; they do not wear out and only need replacement if lost or bent.
What stops me from tightening the EF bayonet further once the lens is mounted all day?
The bayonet locks against the camera’s flange face; over-tightening is prevented by the hard stop of the mount itself, not by a torque spec in the kit.
Does the screwdriver or any metal part get hot if I leave the mounted lens on a cinema camera for a full shoot day?
All components are passive stainless steel and aluminium; they assume ambient temperature and generate no heat of their own.
