A compact 21mm f/3.5 manual-focus lens for Leica M with an 80.2-degree field of view and vintage 1970s-style amber flare coating
The DZOFILM Thypoch Ksana 21mm f/3.5 is a compact prime lens built for Leica M mount cameras. Its ultra-light aluminium construction suits photographers who prioritise a minimal kit for daily use. The 21mm focal length delivers an expansive 80.2-degree field of view, ideal for capturing landscapes, architecture and immersive street scenes. It is not for shooters who need autofocus or electronic aperture control.
The all-aluminium barrel houses an optical design of 8 elements in 6 groups, including aspherical elements for clarity across the frame. A dedicated Epoch Coating 73' recreates the golden-amber flare character associated with 1970s optics, giving images a distinct vintage rendering. The smooth manual focus helicoid allows precise adjustments down to a 1.6' (0.5m) closest focusing distance. Nine diaphragm blades produce a rounded aperture for pleasing bokeh.
The fixed f/3.5 maximum aperture defines the lens's low-light capability and depth-of-field control. It provides a balance between the compact form factor and subject separation, suitable for available-light street work and environmental portraits. Buyers requiring faster apertures for shallow depth of field or dim interiors should consider wider maximum apertures. The Leica M mount limits compatibility to that specific system.

The maximum aperture is f/3.5 and the iris has 9 diaphragm blades for smooth bokeh.
It mounts natively on Leica M bodies and focuses down to 1.6 ft (0.5 m).
Align the red dot on the lens barrel with the red index on the camera mount, then twist until it locks; many users line up the focus scale instead of the mount index.
