35mm T2.1 Cinema Lens for PL & EF Mount
This 35mm prime lens covers full-frame and Vista Vision sensors up to 46.5 mm image circle. It is built for cinematographers who need a compact, lightweight option for documentary or run-and-gun production. The neutral colour rendering and organic APO design deliver gentle sharpness with fine skin tones. It suits both A-roll and B-roll workflows where consistent look matters.
T2.1 Aperture and Manual Focus Limits
The maximum aperture of T2.1 enables low-light shooting and shallow depth of field, but it is not an f-stop value for stills exposure calculation. Focus is manual only with a 270-degree rotation, so autofocus and focus-by-wire systems are not supported. The 0.8M gear pitch on focus and iris rings matches industry follow-focus units, yet lenses without that pitch will not drive correctly. Breathing is negligible but not zero, so critical rack-focus work should be tested.
Dual PL & EF Mount Compatibility
The lens ships with both PL and EF mount options, letting it work on cinema cameras with PL mounts and on EF-mount bodies without adapters. Users whose cameras require LPL, RF, Z, E or other mounts cannot attach this lens natively. The consistent gear position across the Vespid series avoids motor repositioning when swapping focal lengths within the same line.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the PL or EF mount version of the 35mm T2.1 lens?
This single unit includes both PL and EF mounts, so you do not need to pick one version over the other.
What does the T2.1 aperture mean for actual shooting?
T2.1 transmits the same light as f/2.1, giving consistent exposure across the Vespid set and allowing shallow depth of field in low light.
How does the 0.8M gear pitch work with follow-focus gear?
The industry-standard 0.8M pitch on both focus and iris rings fits professional follow-focus motors without changing gears when swapping lenses.
