Replacement 12.1" WXGA CCFL panel

This E-buy 12.1 inch display is a new replacement screen for laptops that originally shipped with a WXGA 1280x800 CCFL panel. It matches the 20-pin connector and backlight type required by those models. Buyers who need an LED-backlit panel or a different pin count cannot use this part.

Matte or glossy finish per stock

The surface finish ships as either matte or glossy depending on real-time availability, so the anti-glare behaviour is not guaranteed. No touchscreen layer, inverter or mounting brackets are included in the package. Installers must reuse the original bezel hardware and cable routing from the damaged unit.

20-pin CCFL interface constraints

The 20-pin CCFL connector limits compatibility to systems designed for single-tube fluorescent backlighting and that exact pinout. Laptops using 14, 30, 40, 50 or 60-pin cables, dual-CCFL layouts or LED backlights will not connect electrically. Verification of resolution, size and connector position before ordering is essential.

Questions about this item

Will the CCFL backlight in this 12.1" WXGA panel need replacement after extended use?

CCFL tubes dim gradually; plan on a backlight or full panel swap once brightness drops below a comfortable level for daily work.

What resolution ceiling stops me from running higher-density content on this 1280x800 screen?

The native 1280x800 pixel grid is fixed; anything above WXGA must be scaled down, so fine text and detailed UI elements lose clarity.

How much heat and power does the CCFL inverter add when the display runs all day?

CCFL inverters draw more current and run warmer than LED equivalents, so expect noticeable warmth along the bottom bezel during long sessions.
