Replacement LCD for 15.4" Panels

This 15.4 inch WXGA panel serves as a direct replacement for compatible laptop displays. It matches the 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and glossy finish of the original screen. The active matrix TFT technology uses a single CCFL backlight with a two-pin lamp connector. Builders repairing a cracked or dim panel will find it fits the original mounting dimensions.

Connector and Backlight Constraints

The screen requires a 30-pin data cable and a separate two-pin inverter connection that are not supplied in the package. CCFL backlighting means the panel needs a working high-voltage inverter board already present in the laptop. Systems that have migrated to LED backlighting or use a different pin-count cable cannot accept this unit without modification.

1280 x 800 Workspace and Limits

The WXGA resolution provides a 13.1 by 8.2 inch active area suited to office applications and standard-definition video playback. Text and icons remain readable at native scaling, but the pixel density limits detail for modern multi-window workflows or high-definition content. The single CCFL lamp also reduces maximum brightness compared to newer LED panels.

Questions about this item

Which glossy 15.4 inch WXGA CCFL panel matches my 1280 x 800 screen?

This LP154W01 (A5)(K3) has a 15.4 inch diagonal, 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution, glossy finish and a single CCFL backlight — match those four points to your original panel

What does the 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution deliver on a 15.4 inch display?

You get a 1280 by 800 pixel workspace across a 13.1 by 8.2 inch active area with a glossy surface

What does the 30 pin data cable connector limit in practice?

The 30 pin data cable and 2 pin lamp connector define the electrical interface; the panel ships without an inverter or data cable so you must reuse or source those separately
