Exact replacement part

This 15.4 inch WXGA laptop screen matches the 1280 x 800 resolution and CCFL single-lamp backlight used in the original Advent 7031 assembly. The 30-pin data cable and 2-pin lamp connector align with the factory pinout. A glossy finish restores the same surface appearance as the panel shipped from the manufacturer.

Sustained image quality

Active-matrix TFT technology maintains consistent colour and contrast during long work sessions without the backlight drift common in aged CCFL units. The A+ premium grade panel is tested for zero dead pixels before dispatch. Width and height of 13.1 by 8.2 inches fit the existing bezel without modification.

Upgrade from failing panels

This part replaces a dim, flickering or cracked screen where the inverter and data cable are still functional. The 24-month warranty covers the panel itself; buyers who need a different resolution, LED backlight or matte finish should source a panel specified for those requirements.

Questions about this item

Does the CCFL backlight generate noticeable heat or fan noise during all-day use?

The panel uses a single CCFL lamp with two pins and draws power through the notebook's inverter, so heat and noise depend on the host system rather than the screen itself.

Which parts must already be present in the laptop for this 30-pin WXGA panel to work?

You need a working inverter and a 30-pin data cable; neither is included with the screen.

Will this 15.4-inch 1280 x 800 glossy panel fit an older Advent 7031 chassis without modification?

The screen measures 13.1 by 8.2 inches crossways and is listed as 100 percent OEM compatible with the 7031 model.
