15.4" WXGA Replacement Panel

This 15.4-inch WXGA LCD panel is a brand-new, A+ grade replacement screen for the Compaq Presario C740EA. It uses an active-matrix TFT with a CCFL single-lamp backlight and a glossy finish. The native resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels across a 13.1" x 8.2" active area.

Suits C740EA owners matching exact specs

This screen fits owners whose original panel matches the 30-pin data cable, 2-pin lamp connector and 15.4-inch WXGA 1280 x 800 specification. Buyers needing a different resolution, LED backlight, matte finish or alternative pin layout should look elsewhere. The inverter and data cable are not included with this unit.

30-pin connector and CCFL backlight decide fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 30-pin data cable combined with the 2-pin CCFL backlight connector. You must verify both match your current screen exactly before ordering. No other connector or backlight type will work with this panel.

Questions about this item

Does the CCFL backlight need replacement after extended use?

The CCFL backlight is a single-lamp design; it will gradually dim over time and eventually require a lamp or full-screen swap.

Will the 30-pin data cable connector limit compatibility with other panels?

The panel uses a fixed 30-pin interface, so only screens with the same pin count and WXGA 1280x800 resolution will connect correctly.

How much heat does the CCFL inverter add during all-day operation?

A single CCFL lamp runs warmer than LED alternatives, so the inverter area will feel noticeably warm after continuous use.
