15.6" CCFL LCD for Compaq Presario G60-127NR

This 15.6-inch CCFL LCD panel replaces the display in a Compaq Presario G60-127NR laptop. It delivers a WXGA resolution of 1366x768 and uses a single-bulb cold cathode fluorescent backlight. The screen is a new Grade A+ unit that has been fully tested and verified for function.

30-pin CCFL interface limits

The panel connects via a 30-pin CCFL socket, so it only works with laptops designed for CCFL backlighting and that specific pin layout. It cannot be used in models that require an LED panel or a different connector type. The 1366x768 resolution is fixed and cannot be scaled beyond the native pixel grid.

Straightforward swap for experienced installers

Installation involves opening the laptop lid assembly, disconnecting the old 30-pin cable, and fitting the new panel into the existing brackets. The main risk is damaging the fragile CCFL bulb or the connector during removal. Buyers without laptop disassembly experience should seek professional fitting to avoid cracking the new screen.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 1366x768 WXGA panel or a higher-resolution screen for my G60-127NR?

The G60-127NR ships with a 1366x768 WXGA panel; the motherboard video connector and firmware are matched to that resolution, so a higher-resolution screen will not work without a different cable and BIOS support.

What does the 1366x768 resolution look like on a 15.6-inch CCFL display in daily use?

On a 15.6-inch screen the 1366x768 pixel grid gives readable text and usable desktop space for office work and web browsing, though fine detail in photos or video is limited compared to higher-density panels.

The listing mentions a 30-pin CCFL socket — what does that cap in practice?

The 30-pin CCFL socket carries the video signal and powers the single cold-cathode backlight bulb; it limits the panel to CCFL-only replacements and prevents direct connection of LED-backlit screens without an inverter and cable change.
