Product identity

This is a 15.6-inch WXGA CCFL laptop screen with a 30-pin connector, built for Packard Bell EasyNote models using part number TR85-DT-001AC. It suits repair technicians or owners replacing a failed CCFL panel in compatible machines.

Build and connectors

The panel uses a single CCF bulb and a 30-pin CCFL socket, so it fits only laptops designed for that backlight and pin layout; it is not an LED panel and no conversion cable is included. Grade A+ condition and full testing mean the unit arrives ready to install without extra verification steps.

Thermals noise power

CCFL backlighting runs warmer and draws more power than modern LED equivalents, so expect higher heat output and shorter battery life during normal use. The inverter required for the bulb may produce a faint high-pitched whine audible in quiet rooms.

Questions about this item

Does the 30-pin CCFL connector limit the resolution to WXGA?

The 30-pin CCFL socket carries the 1366 x 768 WXGA signal; the panel itself is built for that resolution.

Will the 15.6-inch panel fit a lid designed for 13.6 by 7.6 inches?

The active area measures 13.6 by 7.6 inches, so the chassis cut-out must match those dimensions.

How is the single CCFL bulb powered during installation?

The inverter cable plugs into the dedicated CCFL socket on the panel; reversing the connector prevents the backlight from striking.
