Direct replacement for EEE PC 900/901

This 8.9 inch LED panel matches the original 1366×768 WXGA resolution and 40-pin connector used in the ASUS EEE PC 900 and 901 models. It is a brand-new, manufacturer-direct component supplied with a 24-month warranty for owners restoring a damaged or dimming display.

Sustained brightness and colour stability

The LED backlight uses diode illumination rather than CCFL, so it reaches full output quickly and maintains consistent luminance during long work sessions without the warm-up drift common in older lamp types. Surface finish will be glossy or matte depending on the specific panel shipped from current stock.

Connector and compatibility limits

The 40-pin interface is the only electrical connection; no inverter or data cable is included, so the existing cables in the laptop must be reused. Buyers must verify their current screen uses the same pin-out, resolution and backlight type, as a 100% compatible substitute is selected from available inventory rather than a fixed part number.

Questions about this item

Does the 8.9" LED panel draw much power or generate noticeable heat when the EEE PC 900 runs all day?

LED backlighting on an 8.9" 1366×768 screen typically consumes only a few watts, so heat output stays low and battery life is barely affected during extended use.

My EEE PC 901 still has the original inverter and 40-pin data cable — are those all I need to install this replacement?

Yes, the panel uses a standard 40-pin connector and LED backlight; reuse the existing inverter board and video cable from the 900 or 901 and the screen will work.

Will the 1366×768 resolution and glossy-or-matte surface match the display on my older EEE PC 900 without driver changes?

The 1366×768 WXGA resolution is identical to the factory panel, so Windows or Linux will detect it automatically and no driver update is required.
