8.9" WSVGA 40-pin replacement panel

This 8.9 inch matte display offers a 1024 by 600 WSVGA resolution with LED backlighting. It uses a 40-pin data connector and is sold as a brand-new accessory. The panel matches the form factor used in several compact laptops and netbooks. No touchscreen layer is present on this model.

Suits owners repairing a compatible 8.9" WSVGA

Buyers must verify their exact laptop model, screen size, native resolution, backlight type and the 40-pin connector position before ordering. This part will not work with 14, 20, 30, 50 or 60-pin screens, CCFL backlit panels, glossy-only assemblies, touchscreen digitizers or any display with a different native pixel count.

Fits a bare panel slot in a supported chassis

Installation requires a laptop chassis designed for an 8.9 inch 40-pin LED panel with the correct bracket mounts and cable routing. The screen draws power from the host system's inverter or embedded controller. It frees the repairer from sourcing a complete lid assembly when only the LCD module has failed.

Questions about this item

Which laptop model must I already own for this 8.9" WSVGA 40-pin screen to fit?

It is listed as compatible with the Acer Aspire One A110-AP; verify your exact model before ordering.

Will this 40-pin LED panel work if my current screen uses a 30-pin or 20-pin connector?

No — the connector must match exactly; a 30-pin or 20-pin cable will not connect to the 40-pin socket on this display.

How can I confirm the 1024x600 LED backlight is operating correctly after installation?

Power on the laptop; the panel should show a uniform 1024x600 image with no flicker, dead pixels or backlight bleed.
