8.9 inch WXGA replacement display

This 8.9 inch WXGA panel offers a 1024x600 resolution with LED backlight and a matte finish. It uses a 40 pin connector and is sold as a brand new, A+ tested component with a two year warranty. The screen is designed as a direct replacement for compatible laptops such as the Acer Aspire One ZG series.

Buyers needing a non touch 40 pin panel

This screen suits owners of 8.9 inch laptops that require a 1024x600 WXGA panel with a standard 40 pin data connector and LED backlighting. It will not fit machines that use 14, 20, 30, 50 or 60 pin connectors, nor models with a different physical size, resolution or CCFL backlight. Buyers who need a touchscreen layer or a glossy finish should verify stock before ordering.

Connector type 40 pin decides fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 40 pin data connector and its pinout position on the cable. You must match this exactly to the original screen connector type and location listed in the attention notes. A different pin count or connector position will prevent installation regardless of other matching specifications.

Questions about this item

Will the 40-pin connector reach the motherboard socket in an Acer Aspire One ZG?

The screen uses a 40-pin data connector; the supplier notes you must verify the exact connector position on your laptop before ordering.

Does the LED backlight run hot or draw much power during all-day use?

LED backlighting typically produces less heat and lower power draw than older CCFL types, but the supplier provides no specific thermal or wattage figures.

My laptop currently has a glossy panel — will this matte-finish screen swap in directly?

The listing states the finish may be matte or glossy depending on real stock, so you must confirm the exact finish you will receive before fitting.
