8.9" WXGA replacement panel

This 8.9 inch LCD LED screen delivers a 1366 x 768 WXGA resolution through a 40-pin connector. It is built for owners of compatible laptops who need a direct 100% compatible replacement for a damaged or failing original display. The panel arrives brand new from the manufacturer with a 24 month warranty.

LED backlight thermals

The LED diode backlight runs cooler and draws less power than older CCFL designs, keeping internal temperatures lower during normal use. No inverter or data cable is included in the package, so existing cabling must be reused or sourced separately. Power consumption stays modest thanks to the efficient LED lamp type.

Glossy or matte finish variance

The surface ships as either glossy or matte depending on market availability, which changes glare characteristics and outdoor visibility. Buyers who need a specific anti-glare or reflective finish cannot choose between them. The exact brand and part number supplied also varies with stock, though every unit meets the 1366 x 768 specification.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 40-pin connector on the 8.9 inch LED screen and what step causes most fitment issues?

Align the 40-pin ribbon exactly with the motherboard socket before applying pressure; the common error is inserting it offset by one row, which bends pins and prevents the 1366x768 image from appearing.

What maintenance or replacement will the LED backlight on this 8.9 inch panel need over time?

The LED backlight is rated for long life and requires no scheduled maintenance; if brightness fades after years of use the entire 8.9 inch screen assembly is replaced rather than servicing the diodes separately.

What limit appears first on this 8.9 inch WXGA panel during sustained use?

The 1366x768 resolution and 8.9 inch diagonal set the workspace ceiling; under continuous load the glossy or matte surface finish — whichever ships — shows glare or fingerprint buildup before any thermal or electrical limit is reached.
