E-buy 12.1" WXGA CCFL replacement panel

This E-buy B121EW03 V.2 screen is a 12.1-inch WXGA LCD built for laptop repair. It delivers a 1280 by 800 resolution with a CCFL backlight and a matte or glossy finish depending on stock. The panel is brand new, graded A+, and tested before dispatch. It suits owners restoring older notebooks that originally shipped with a CCFL display.

Verify connector count and backlight before ordering

Confirm the existing panel uses a 20-pin data connector and a single CCFL backlight. Measure the active area to ensure a 12.1-inch diagonal and 1280 by 800 pixel matrix. Check whether the current screen is wide or standard aspect and note the connector position on the cable. Matching these points avoids receiving an incompatible part.

Replaces worn or broken CCFL laptop screens

This unit replaces a failed 12.1-inch WXGA CCFL panel in compatible notebooks. The upgrade is worthwhile when the original shows backlight flicker, dead pixels or physical damage. Buyers needing an LED backlight, a different pin count such as 14, 30, 40, 50 or 60 pins, or a higher resolution should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the screen ship with the inverter, bezel or mounting brackets, or do I need to source them separately?

Only the 12.1 inch WXGA 1280x800 panel with its 20 pin CCFL connector is included; inverter, bezel and brackets must be reused from the original display or purchased separately.

My laptop lists both matte and glossy finishes for this 12.1 inch WXGA panel — which one will I receive?

The finish is matte or glossy depending on real stock at dispatch; you will receive a 100 per cent compatible 12.1 inch 1280x800 20 pin CCFL screen in whichever finish is available.

What does the 1280x800 WXGA resolution mean for daily use on a 12.1 inch display?

The 1280 by 800 pixel grid on a 12.1 inch diagonal gives a workable desktop area for office applications and web browsing, though text and images will appear smaller than on larger panels.
