Replacement screen for Packard Bell Dot3G

This 8.9 inch LED panel is built as a direct replacement for the Packard Bell Dot3G laptop. It delivers a 1366 by 768 WXGA HD resolution on a 22.61 cm diagonal. The screen arrives in new condition with a 24 month manufacturer warranty. Compatibility is guaranteed at 100 percent when the original specifications match.

Suitable for owners of the exact Dot3G model

Buyers with a cracked or dim 8.9 inch display on this specific netbook will restore the original image quality. The 40 pin connector and LED backlight match the factory design. Users whose laptop uses a different pin count, a different resolution or a CCFL backlight should look elsewhere because the panel will not fit or function.

40 pin connector and LED backlight

The single specification that decides fitment is the 40 pin interface combined with LED diode backlighting. If the original screen uses 40 pins and LED illumination this panel will connect and operate. Any other pin arrangement or backlight type makes the part incompatible.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the glossy or matte finish for this 8.9 inch screen?

The surface finish is either glossy or matte depending on what the manufacturer ships, so you cannot choose; match the finish of your original panel if possible.

What does the 1366×768 resolution mean on an 8.9 inch panel?

At 8.9 inches the 1366×768 WXGA HD resolution gives a sharp image suitable for basic office work and web browsing on a small netbook display.

Does the 40-pin connector carry power for the LED backlight?

The 40-pin data cable carries the video signal; the LED backlight is driven by the laptop's own inverter board, which is not included with this screen.
