Catch Basin Filter Insert for 24 to 26 Inch Openings

The EAGLE MFG T8701B insert fits catch basins with 24 to 26 inch openings. It removes debris, oils and sediment from storm water runoff. The unit provides a flow capacity of 500 gpm. It is built from non-woven polypropylene geotextile for facility and worksite safety.

Non-Woven Polypropylene Geotextile Material

The filter uses a non-woven polypropylene geotextile that captures sediment and hydrocarbons while allowing water to pass. This material handles the 500 gpm flow rate through the 16 inch by 24 inch frame. It targets oil and debris removal without a specified oil capacity limit.

Suited for Storm Water Control at Worksites

This insert suits facilities managing storm water control where basins measure 24 to 26 inches. Buyers needing a different opening size or a higher oil retention volume should look at other options. The 16 inch height fits standard basin depths for sediment capture.

Questions about this item

How often will the non-woven polypropylene geotextile filter insert need replacement when catching sediment and oils?

Replace the insert once it becomes saturated with debris or oil; the 500 gpm flow capacity will drop noticeably when the media is full.

What flow limit appears first during continuous heavy runoff?

The 500 gpm flow capacity is the limiting factor; sustained inflow above that rate will cause bypass or pooling.

Does the insert generate any noise, heat or extra power draw while operating all day?

No — it is a passive geotextile insert with no moving parts, so it produces no noise, heat or power consumption.
