SKU CH-V5PT-QSTGA

A 24 in cable installer bit with split-point tip, three-flat shank and powder-coated finish for clean, deep drilling

  • Split point starts holes cleanly without wandering
  • 24 in overall length reaches through studs and joists
  • 1/4 in drill bit size matches common cable diameters
  • Straight shank with three flats prevents chuck slippage
  • Powder coated finish resists corrosion during use

Cable Installer Bit for Pneumatic Tools

This Eagle Tool US EC25024 bit is built for electricians and low-voltage installers who pull wire through framed walls and ceilings. The 24 in overall length reaches between studs without extensions. A 1/4 in split-point tip starts cleanly in wood and drywall. The 3/16 in hex shank with three flats locks securely in pneumatic drill chucks.

Powder-Coated Finish and Shank Design

The powder coating reduces friction and resists corrosion during long pulls through insulation and treated lumber. The straight shank with three milled flats prevents slippage under high torque from pneumatic drivers. This combination keeps the bit centred and extends usable life on repetitive jobs.

24 in Maximum Drilling Depth Decides Fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the 24 in maximum drilling depth. If the cavity or conduit run exceeds this reach, the bit cannot complete the pass in one stroke. Jobs requiring deeper penetration will need a longer bit or an extension system not included with this accessory.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/4 in split-point bit need sharpening or replacement after repeated cable pulls?

The carbon-steel construction with powder coating resists wear; replace the bit when the split point dulls or the three-flat shank shows rounding.

What stops the 24 in bit from drilling deeper than the rated 24 in maximum depth?

The 24 in overall length and 24 in maximum drilling depth mean the flutes end at the shank, so the bit physically cannot go deeper.

Does the 3/16 in hex shank run hot or vibrate during all-day pneumatic use?

The straight three-flat shank design transfers torque evenly, keeping heat and vibration low during extended cable-installation runs.
