A 54-inch carbon-steel installer bit with a 3/4-inch masonry tip drills to 52 inches for cable pulls
The Eagle Tool US ESP75054 is a screw-point drill bit designed for pulling cable through masonry and wood framing. Its 54 inch overall length and 52 inch maximum drilling depth let installers reach through multiple studs or joists without extensions. The 3/4 inch cutting diameter creates a clean hole for standard residential wiring. A 1/4 inch hex shank with three flats locks securely into drill chucks and quick-change adapters.
The black powder-coated finish lowers drag while the bit bores deep holes, keeping the cutting edges cooler during extended runs. Three flats on the shank prevent slippage under high torque, so the drill motor transfers power efficiently without stalling. No special lubrication or cooling steps are required for normal installation work.
The 1/4 inch hex shank works with standard cordless drills, right-angle drills and impact drivers already on the job site. No proprietary adapters or brand-specific accessories are needed to start drilling. The straight, three-flat profile also allows the bit to be held firmly in a bench vise for hand-powered applications when power is unavailable.

Insert the 1/4 in hex shank fully into the chuck and tighten each flat against the jaws so the three flats seat evenly; an uneven grip on the flats is the step most often missed.
The powder coating protects the carbon steel during normal drilling; inspect the flutes after heavy masonry work and replace the bit when the cutting edges dull rather than re-coating.
The 52 in maximum drilling depth is the practical limit; the remaining length accommodates the shank and chip clearance, so sustained pressure beyond that depth reduces cutting efficiency.
