EarthQuaker Devices Sea Machine V3 Super Chorus guitar pedal

Chorus pedal with variable LFO

The EarthQuaker Devices Sea Machine V3 is a chorus pedal built for guitarists who want deep modulation options. A variable waveshape LFO moves from smooth triangle to choppy square wave, while an extended delay line pushes the effect into warbly, pitch-bent territory. Flexi-Switch lets you use momentary and latching switching at the same time, and silent soft-touch switching keeps the signal path clean in true bypass mode. It runs on a regular 9 V DC supply.

From basic chorus to deep modulation

This pedal replaces a simple one-knob chorus when you need control over rate, depth, shape, dimension, animate and intensity. The jump is worth it when you want slapback detune, reverb-like ambience or self-oscillating echo-resonance from a single unit. The animate control swings the pitch from subtle double-tracking to extreme seasick warble, covering ground a standard chorus cannot reach.

For players who shape modulation by hand

Suits guitarists who treat chorus as a sound-design tool and need hands-on access to every parameter. Not for players who only want a set-and-forget shimmer, or anyone who needs stereo outputs, tap tempo, preset storage or expression-pedal control. The single mono output and lack of MIDI also rule it out for complex rigs that require deep integration.
