Application and rating

This Eaton Arrow Hart plug is a straight-blade pin-and-sleeve device rated 20 amps at 250 volts. The blue nylon housing identifies the voltage rating at a glance. It suits industrial and commercial wiring where a rugged, weather-sealed male connector is required.

What the pack and build provide

The case contains five plugs, each accepting #12 or #10 AWG conductors through a back-wire termination. Nickel-plated brass contacts resist corrosion, while the nylon body meets IP67 and IP69K for protection against water jets and high-pressure wash-down.

Deciding specification

The 20 A, 250 V rating with two-pole, three-wire grounding determines whether this plug matches the circuit and equipment you are connecting. Verify that the installation calls for this exact amperage, voltage and pin configuration before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will the nickel-plated brass contacts need periodic cleaning or replacement?

The nickel-plated brass contacts resist corrosion and are rated IP67 and IP69K, so they do not require scheduled cleaning or replacement under normal use.

What is the first limit reached when the plug runs at 20 A continuously?

The 20 A, 250 V rating is the design limit; sustained operation at full load stays within the extra heavy-duty specification.

Does the nylon housing get hot or draw extra power during all-day use?

The plug is passive — it draws no power and the nylon housing remains at ambient temperature during continuous operation.
