The Eaton E57G-18UPN8-Q is an unshielded cylindrical sensor designed for industrial automation tasks. It detects metallic targets at distances up to 8 mm using a 3-wire PNP output that switches normally open. The 4-pin micro DC connector simplifies installation on machines and conveyors.
Sustained operation within wide voltage
The unit operates continuously from 10 to 30 V DC while drawing a maximum load of 100 mA. Its stainless-steel housing meets NEMA 4X and IP67 ratings, resisting wash-down and immersion. An operating frequency of 1,200 Hz supports repeated detection cycles without thermal derating across a span of -13 to 158 degrees F.
Replaces older limit switches and smaller sensors
The sensor upgrades mechanical limit switches that wear out or smaller-diameter sensors that lack range. The jump is worthwhile when an application needs non-contact detection at 8 mm with a 69 mm body that fits existing 18 mm mounting holes. It is not suited for applications requiring shielded mounting or analogue output.
