IEC Motor Starter for Industrial Control

The Eaton ECX09C1AAA-R63/B is a non-reversing IEC magnetic motor starter designed for three-phase motor control in industrial automation environments. It provides electronic overload protection with adjustable current settings between 1 A and 5 A for precise equipment safeguarding.

Surface-Mount Three-Pole Integration

This starter mounts directly on a surface and occupies three poles with a 120V AC coil voltage for standard control circuit compatibility. It includes two auxiliary contacts in a 1NO/1NC configuration, freeing the control system from adding separate pilot devices for status indication.

Adjustable Overload Range Up to 5 Amps

The electronic overload relay handles trip classes 10A, 10, 20, and 30, covering a variety of motor acceleration profiles. It is rated for 3 hp at 600V AC with a maximum voltage rating of 690V AC, making it unsuitable for motors exceeding the 5 A maximum current setting or higher horsepower ratings.

Questions about this item

What is the highest trip class available on this starter?

The starter supports trip classes 10A, 10, 20 and 30, with 30 being the highest selectable setting.

How much heat does the coil generate when energised continuously at 120V AC?

The 120V AC coil draws modest power during continuous operation, keeping temperature rise within IEC limits for surface-mounted starters.

What control-circuit voltage must the panel already supply?

The coil requires a 120V AC control supply, so the panel must provide that voltage for the starter to operate.
